Dasho Ugen Tsechup, Honorary Consul-General of the Kingdom of Thailand

His Majesty the King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua of Thailand has bestowed upon Dasho Ugen Tsechup, Honorary Consul-General of the Kingdom of Thailand to Thimphu, the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand (Third Class) in recognition of his prominent role in promoting and strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the Kingdom of Bhutan and the Kingdom of Thailand.

The Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka and the Royal Thai Honorary Consulate-General in Thimphu co-organized the Royal Decoration Presentation Ceremony followed by a reception yesterday at Terma Linca Resort & Spa. It was attended by guests from Bhutan and Thailand.

The Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand was established by His Majesty King Chulalongkorn in 1869. Currently, it is conferred on Thai civil servants and foreign nationals with outstanding roles in promoting bilateral relations and cooperation.
